Lhokpu

Samtsi, Southwest Bhutan

Lhokpu is a Trans-Himalayan language spoken in Samtsi district in southwestern Bhutan. The Lhokpu belong to the oldest ethnolinguistic layer of Bhutan, alongside with Gongduk and Black Mountain Mönpa, and have retained a distinct culture and religion.
